Locally the area was known as "Avon" next to the Avon Cosmetics headquarters. Some know it as Southbridge East but now in 2024, it is home to the University of Northampton at Waterside.

For unaware readers, this urban wasteland was a treasure chest for rich and jaw dropping graffiti. Some say the ex-Avon factory was the biggest graffiti area in Western Europe, writers from all over the UK spent many hours showcasing their skills to a admiring audience. This paricular image is of the tall eastern located building on the site. On the ground level more or less every inch of the walls were covered in graffiti.
